The Study Abroad Office is committed to strengthening international education at Averett. Our programs are designed to promote cross cultural competence, innovative scholarship, and enhance foreign language acquisition. The Study Abroad office promotes academically-based experiences in support of students' personal, professional, and intellectual development, equipping them with the skills to effectively engage with both local and global communities and to become culturally perceptive citizens.

Principles: We strongly believe that study abroad benefits every student, and that these opportunities should exist for students regardless of race, ethnicity, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or gender.
The Study Abroad Office serves the Averett University values of engagement through the belief that international education is a unique opportunity to promote global awareness, service, and leadership.
